Leadership

• It includes both individual and co-creative leadership and considers them to be integral aspects of each other. Rarely does leadership rest with only one person and never does it exclude the understanding and actions of individuals.
  
• In that sense our understanding of ‘leadership’ includes but goes beyond the traditional view of outstanding individuals to appreciate the complexity of the many individual and collective processes that inspire and enable people, organizations and societies to work together towards a more wise, just and sustainable civilization. From that perspective we are all leaders and all part of leadership.
  
• GLN also uses ‘leadership’ as an umbrella to include both social and business entrepreneurs and leaders from all sectors of society as well as process experts in coaching and consulting, meeting facilitation and team work, project and organizational management, leadership development, training and education, negotiation and conflict transformation, communications and networking – to name but a few leadership disciplines that each have their particularities but have a lot in common.
  
• In our experience all of these leaders and the innovative ‘social technologies’ they use can be significantly enhanced by learning from each other both in dialog and action. GLN helps to facilitate this exchange for its members and wider field of leadership.
